Young Queensland driver Klark Quinn from Team VIP Petfoods will showcase the new 997-based Porsche 911 GT3 Cup which is the exclusive car in the Wright Patton Shakespeare Carrera Cup.
Entering its fourth season in Australia, the Wright Patton Shakespeare Carrera Cup cars are all meticulously developed by Porsche's racing arm in Germany. With a top speed in excess of 300kph, the lightweight, high performance vehicles have a 400 horsepower, 3.6-litre six cylinder Boxer engine which revs to 8200 RPM, producing a sound that is distinctly Porsche.
"I can't wait to get up to Townsville to give North Queensland motorsport fans a taste of the Lexmark Indy 300 as well as the Wright Patton Shakespeare Carrera Cup," said Quinn.
"There is a huge supporter base in Townsville and I'm sure they will get a thrill out of seeing and hearing these amazing Porsche racing thoroughbreds."
Matt Kingsley (Allan Grice Racing) will drive the Yokohama V8 Ute during the demonstrations at the Townsville Roadshow.

"I'm sure the Ute will draw a lot of attention and gain plenty more Townsville Ute fans."
The CARSguide Aussie Racing Cars are mini replicas of V8 Supercars, built in four different body styles - the 1940 Ford Coupe and FJ Holden as well as the AU Falcon and VY Commodore. All cars are approximately half the size of a V8 Supercar and are powered by a 1.2 litre 125 horsepower twin cam 16-valve engine. The 450kg weight provides an incredible power-to-weight ratio that allows the car to reach speeds in excess of 200kph on the Gold Coast.
Townsville fans will also be amazed at the power and speed of the tiny Aussie Racing Cars which will feature Nick Simmons in his Repco Valvoline Cummins VY Commodore and Tommy Quinlan in the BJR Team BOC AU Falcon.
"I'm currently leading the championship in the Aussie Racing Cars after some close racing so far this season," said Simmons.
"I'm really looking forward to this trip to Townsville which will be a lot of fun, a great way to meet our North Queensland fans, and demonstrate these cars to many people who probably would never have seen them before."
The cars will perform demonstrations throughout the afternoon from 12 noon and 5pm and will be on display for fans to have a close-up look at these magnificent racing machines.
In addition to the demonstrations, the entertainment program will also include driver autograph sessions, V8 Supercar merchandise trucks, safety cars and simulator, stage parades by Bartercard Miss Indy contestants, a motor bike stunt show, plus Lexmark Indy 300, Gold Coast Tourism, motor racing and hot rod displays.
