A range of Porsches will be the official vehicles for this year’s Lexmark Indy 300, to be held on the streets of the Gold Coast from October 18-21.
Many of the German sports car maker's icon cars will be used for off-track VIP transportation and for official on-track duties. The majority of these cars are being supplied by local Porsche dealer, Terry Knight, of Porsche Centre Gold Coast.
The fleet of Porsche vehicles will include 911, Cayman and Cayenne models which will carry event signage through to the event.
Porsche will also have a major on-track race presence at the Lexmark Indy 300 with the final round of the Carrera Cup championship doubling as a support event over the race weekend.
Lexmark Indy 300 General Manager, Greg Hooton, said that the relationship with Porsche is an exciting one on many levels.
“Porsche has a long and strong association with international motor sport so we are delighted to have them at the Lexmark Indy 300,” said Hooton.
“Both are a sleek, fast product with which people want to be associated.
Porsche Centre Gold Coast dealer principal, Terry Knight, officially announced the new relationship today.
“The Lexmark Indy 300 is one of Australia’s great sporting events and Porsche Centre Gold Coast is delighted to be involved this year as the official car supplier,” said Knight.
“Our point of difference as a Porsche dealer is our long-time involvement in motorsport. We don’t get a lot of work done during Indy week because we are all at the track so it made a lot of sense to become involved as the official vehicle supplier.
“We are looking forward to showcasing our latest cars to a lot of our clients who will be at the event enjoying the entertainment and hospitality.”
