Nina Baker
Nina, a 20-year-old Fashion Design Graduate from Perth took out the prestigious title in 1995 where the final was held in Cavil Mall with over 1000 Indy Car enthusiasts. Tracking her down became a mission with Nina leaving us a small trail to track. Starting in Perth with local modelling agencies to local Body Shop then all the way to Kalgoorlie where we heard she was working as a Pre-School and Year Four Teacher for the WA Education department. It’s hard to believe it’s been 10 years since winning Miss Indy in 1995. It been a long time and hard to remember every thing I’ve done since then but a couple of places I have been to are Taiwan and I spent 3 months in Thailand. Now completed my Diploma in Fashion and Design, and have finished a degree in Fine Arts and DIPED in Education while working part time at The Body Shop. Finally I am teaching in Kalgoorlie at the School of Air. At present I am unattached and still looking for Mr Right. My ambition is to travel and work overseas, probably teaching in the UK. See boys there maybe hope for you all!
