Growing up in Adelaide, Bronte didn’t really enjoy Formula One finding the car thing to noisy, but that didn’t stop her entering the prestigious Bartercard Miss Indy competition for the chance to spend a week on the Gold Coast to experience the racing action. When the 2001 Bartercard Miss Indy Winner resigned her position, Bronte Kok took over the prestigious title. That wasn’t her only luck she also won the heart of driver Alex Taggliani.
"After that I didn't really see him much or know who he was," Kok recalled. "I didn't think twice about it. But I kept seeing him at races, and he managed to get my phone number from one of the race organizers. He asked me to lunch the day after a race. We went on a boat with about six other Champ drivers."
The celebrity couple, which were married 2 years ago in Montreal, live in Las Vegas where they rarely sample the sinful casino strip, preferring to spend time cocooning at home after weeks of travelling to far-off race destinations.
