Dubbed 'the world's largest sports model search', Bartercard Miss Indy runs in up to 40 venues throughout Australia and, in over 200 nights of promotion, with more than 2000 young women entering the competition.

 National Final WEEK The Bartercard Miss Indy Race Team spend a high-octane 10 days on the Gold Coast, staying at Magic Mountain Resort. They attend official VIP parties, perform grid and sponsor duties plus if chosen will experience a photo shoot on track for the sizzling Bartercard Miss Indy calendar. If that isn’t enough, the young ladies undergo 4 judging sessions - Interview, Photographic, Swimwear, and Sportswear judging all culminating at the National Final.

Prizes valued at over $100,000 are distributed across 5 special awards: Winner, 1st Runner Up, 2nd Runner Up, Miss Fuji Photogenic and Miss Personality. All the National Finalists receive participation gifts of Backstage and FILA clothing, JUUCE for Thirsty Hair products, Dirty Dog eyewear, High Sierra sports bags, Durasales gift packs, cosmetics from Kiss Kozmetics, Beachbrasil swimwear and lots more, valued over $800 each.

The winner takes home over $45,000 in cash and prizes including a $10,000 promotional contract from Bartercard, a $5,000 necklace from Wallace Bishop Jewellery, a holiday at Magic Mountain and so much more.

Kate Hockly won the prestigious title of Bartercard Miss Indy 2007, and is now an ambassador for Bartercard and the Gold Coast Indy 300. She gained overnight celebrity status being recognised nationally and Internationally in the media and with motor sport lovers alike.

Not just your typical Gold Coast blonde, this glamour has the intelligence to boot – being Dux of her school and Valedictorian Kate says she’s a ‘nerd at heart’. Her idea of the perfect day is watching science documentaries!

Originally from New Zealand, Kate is a 20 year old Communications Student who enjoys cooking, scuba diving, sunbathing and reading. She is hoping to pursue a career in organising charity events or being an ambassador for a corporate brand

Just one week after Indy, Kate travelled to Mexico to compete for the prestigious title ‘Face of Champ Car’. She was up against Grand Prix titleholders from Long Beach, Houston, Edmonton, San Jose and Cleveland in the ultimate International sports model search.

The intense week included VIP parties, special appearances, International media interviews, a feature shoot with FHM Mexico, autograph sessions, parade laps with Champ Car Drivers as well as some serious sightseeing with her own personal security guard. Kate was a stand out in Mexico and was actually selected to win the overall title however after great deliberation, did not accept this honour due to work and study commitments in Australia.

Kate is now counting down the days until she is back amongst the speed and excitement that is the Gold Coast Indy 300.
