CAPA Stunt Team

Back for more in 2006 professional stunt rider’s Matt Mingay and Robbie Bolger are the CAPA Stunt Team. They’re guaranteed to have the crowd on the edge of their seats with some of the most dangerous and spectacular stunts ever performed on two wheels. You can also catch them out on track in their SS V8 Holden Utes punishing their tyres into oblivion in their synchronized burnout display. Make sure you cheer them on and they just might blow a tyre!

There’s no mistaking when a Bray is on track! You will hear and feel the thundering roar of Victor’s 57’ Chevy and Ben's SS Commodore ute as they smoke up the tarmac. The crowd will on the edge of their seats as Ben and Victor perform a spectacular array of burnouts and doughnuts on the tight Surfers Paradise street circuit. This is definitely not for the faint hearted!

Don’t miss the Australian Army’s hi-tech combat vehicles as they patrol the track. Featuring ASLAV tanks, Bushmaster deployment vehicles, troop carriers and other artillery. Joining the on-track parade will be Armygeddon, the Australian Army’s 6x6 900hp street machine, to smoke up the track. Catch other Army equipment in display, including the M198 Howitzer big guns and the ARH Tiger helicopter, inside Turn 3 at the southern end of the track.

Check out your favourite IndyCar Series and V8 Supercar drivers as they cruise around the track in spectacular Australian and American muscle cards just before the main races on Saturday and Sunday. Thanks to Raceline Promotions, you will witness some of the finest Corvettes, Mustangs, Cadillac’s, Cobras, Buicks and hot rod roadsters.

Fans will get a taste of the latest craze in the hitech, high performance import
scene and if you’ve never seen “drifting” before you wont want to miss it. Reaching speeds well over 100km/h, these turboboosted rides amazingly drift in and out of the corners while smoking the rear wheels for added effect. A special selection of cars from Australia’s leading drift competition Drift Australia has been put on show by Raceline Promotions and are guaranteed to be fast, furious and burn a lot of rubber.

Some of Australia’s best motocross riders will be flying high with aerial madness when they take to the track daily for their freestyle motocross display. Insane moves such as the ‘no-handed cancan’,‘the heart attack’ and ‘the superman’ will all feature in this death-defying display of motocross precision and fearless adrenalin. Cheer them on loud enough and you may even witness the first on-track back flip!

Meet Jacqui, Courtney, Erin, Jasmine, Michelle, Taryn and Zoe, the XXX Angles. The XXXX Angels are a gorgeous group of professionally trained dancers that have been brought together from around Australia to be ambassadors for XXXX GOLD and to form Australia’s hottest dance and promotions group. Catch their amazing performances on track in the XXXX GOLD Retreat.

Catch Tony Harrison in his supercharged Holden Commodore perform amazing continuous 360° drift spins in a haze of multicoloured smoke as he is chased and raced by the lawmakers in an extreme 450kw Ford Mustang Saleen S281 Police Car...or so it says! Showcasing precision driving at its best between the tight concrete barriers of the Surfers Paradise circuit Tony has perfected this skill down to a fine art.
