Gold Coast Indy 300 Banana Boat Student's Day - Thursday 23rd October 2008
Registration for Banana Boat Student's Day is now open, teachers can register their school by clicking on the above link and following the prompts.
Held on Thursday 23rd October, the Gold Coast Indy 300 Banana Boat Student's Day is free of charge and open to primary and secondary schools. Student's Day is designed to involve primary and secondary school students in Queensland's largest tourism and sporting event, as well as provide educational value.
Students Day is a fantastic Event to incorporate into your learning curriculum. Educational presentations and interactive displays will take place throughout the day. The areas of study which will be covered include marketing, event management, engineering, health and fitness, mathematics, science, media and journalism, tourism and more. Over 10,000 students attended Student's Day in 2007 and from all reports it was an outstanding success.
In the coming months registered schools will recieve an information pack outlining the details of the event. Closer to the date, teachers will be able to download a Students Day Activity Pack containing activities and questions for students to complete before and during the event.
