What concessions and pensions are acceptable for the Gold Coast Indy 300?

Aged pension and Disability Pension. Full time students 15 to 18 years (must show Student ID). Children under 5 years free of charge.

Very Important Kids Coupon – 15 years and under free of charge

A free Very Important Kids coupon is available to all children aged 15 years and under in the Gold Coast Bulletin during Indy week. Cut this coupon out and present it at any of the precinct gates and children 15 years and under can access the Event as a general admission ticket holder free of charge. Please note each child must be accompanied by a paying adult with a four day general admission pass. One child per paying adult.

At the track there are 3 Ticketek Booths outside the track, these are located at:
Main Gate North
Ocean Avenue
Main Gate South
The newsagency in Elkhorn Avenue, Surfers Paradise, the Gold Coast Convention Centre and the Gold Coast Arts Centre are also Ticketek outlets and tickets can be purchased through them.

Is it possible to upgrade my ticket prior to or during the 2008 Gold Coast Indy 300 Event?

All tickets may be upgraded at any time prior to the event at the Gold Coast Convention Centre, Gold Coast Arts Centre or Ticketek Brisbane City Box Office in the Myer Centre. Tickets may also be upgraded during the Event by going to any of the three Main Box Offices at the North, South and Ocean Avenue gates of the precinct.

Can any grandstand ticket holder walk around in the general admission areas?

Yes. All ticket holders are free to move around the general admission areas. No weekend or single day ticket holders will be allowed access into any of the grandstands. If any grandstand or general admission ticket holders wish to take either a V8 Supercar Pit Tour or an Indy Car pit Tour a separate ticket must be purchased at the Pit Tour Ticket Office, which is located on track behind the V8 Supercar Pit Lane area.

What do I do if I lose my ticket?

There will be no replacement of lost tickets prior to the Event. Please ensure that your tickets are kept in a safe place until they are needed. If you lose your ticket at the track, you will need to go to either the North or the South gates to address the situation. Ticketek will attempt to trace your ticket purchase and if at all possible will replace your lost ticket. The replacement of lost tickets is at the discretion of Ticketek.
Note: there is a no refund policy on advance ticket purchases.

Is there anything that cannot be taken into the precinct?

Yes the following items are not permitted into the precinct:
No alcoholic beverages
Nothing that could be used to erect a platform
No animals, illegal drugs or weapons – guide dogs excepted
No glass receptacles
No Eskies
No commercial food or beverages
As a condition of entry, an authorised person will inspect all bags, baskets or any receptacle. Any person refusing to comply may be refused admission into the precinct. Folding chairs may be brought into the general admission areas but are not allowed into any grandstands or corporate suites. Umbrellas can be brought in but must not be opened whilst any cars are racing as they could blow onto the track and cause an accident. Videos and cameras are not prohibited. It is a breach of the Gold Coast Motor Racing Events Act (1990) to make for the purpose of profit or gain, any sound recordings or television recordings or moving picture of any part of the Gold Coast Indy 300 Event.

Can I buy tickets to the Corporate Hospitality areas?

Yes, Gold Coast Indy 300 offers a wide range of corporate hospitality opportunities on track – including the ultimate in private suites, shared club facilities and also custom-built facilities. Corporate Hospitality options can be viewed at www.indy.com.au

Where can General Admission with On-Track Accommodation passes be purchased?

These tickets can, in many instances, be purchased from the Building or Hotel Manager. Please ask your Building or Hotel Manager when you are making your booking.

Ticketing Terms and Conditions

Tickets may not be resold at a premium or used for advertising, promotion or other commercial purposes without the prior written consent of Gold Coast Motor Events Co. (the “Promoter”). If this ticket has been resold or used in contravention of the condition, the bearer of the ticket may be denied admission or may be asked to leave the venue.
You agree to comply with all notices at the venue and all directions from the Promoter. You may be removed from the venue if you do not comply with any direction from the Promoter or its representatives.
Tickets are not refundable or subject to exchange unless required by law. If the event is cancelled after it has started (for example, because of bad weather), you cannot exchange your ticket and you cannot obtain a refund. If the description of, or participants in, the event change, you cannot exchange your ticket and you cannot obtain a refund. The Promoter is not liable to you for any claims, damages, compensation, losses or expenses as a result of the event or sessions of the event being cancelled, postponed or changed.
Motorsport is dangerous. You understand that the layout of the venue may be unfamiliar to you, so you must take care at all times. You acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and for the safety of any children accompanying you. Ticket holders enter the venue at their own risk. To the extent permitted by law you release the Promoter (including its directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers), CAMS, V8 Supercars Australia and Indy Racing League, LLC. (including their directors, officers, employees, consultants, contractors, agents and volunteers) from any liability for any damage, loss, liability or injury you may suffer in relation to your attendance at the event, howsoever caused including without limitation due to any negligence or other act or omission of the Promoter. You agree to compensate the Promoter for any damage, loss, liability or injury the Promoter may suffer as a result of your wilful, reckless or negligent acts or omissions at the event.
You are responsible for your own property whilst at the venue.
The Promoter may refuse you entry into, or remove you from, a venue if you do not obey these terms and conditions, you interfere with the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other persons at the event, you have a lost, stolen, counterfeit, damaged or unreadable ticket or you have acquired your ticket from an unauthorised source, or the Promoter reasonably suspect you of any of the above.
Images and sound recordings of the event taken by you with camera, video or audio equipment cannot be used for any purpose other than for private and domestic purposes, that is, you cannot sell, license, broadcast, publish or otherwise commercially exploit them. In particular you may not make available any moving footage, sound recordings or series of still pictures taken at the event on the internet.
These ticket conditions may be supplemented by additional conditions displayed at the venue.
No alcohol and no glass containers will be permitted in the precinct.
